Quick Links to All My Columns

Sometimes Things Go Right…No matter what conspiracy theory GB may be crunching today, there’s no denying that it’s not all so bad.

Exhaustion Blues…Women are not less happy; we just need a good nap.

A Conservative Ate My Homework…Anyone who tells you to keep your kids home from school may not be looking out for you or your child’s best interest.

Bailout Blues…Did chasing the American dream cause this national nightmare?

How Much Does a Senate Seat Cost…A lighter look at Blagovejich and what the future may hold for him. (I’m thinking reality show host.)

A Ceremony Worth Celebrating…Why this year’s Presidential inauguration is worth going above and beyond.

Spam of the Phone Wires…The metaphorical problems with Robo-Calling.

What If the Change We Need Starts with Us…My go at making the changes our country needs part of my own personal directives.

Lynne Spears and Our Nation’s Economic Crisis…You won’t believe it until you read it, but I have reason to believe that Britney Spears’ mom may just be the reason we’re talking bailouts.

The Longest Bridge…The great city of Louisville has been talking about building another bridge to my side of the river. I’m thinking they may as well spare the expense.

Smoking Ban, The Great Debate…Our town has been debating the smoking ban for some time now. I say keep your smoke out of our public places.

Where the Feminist Are…A commentary on why Hillary Clinton supporters back Barack instead of jumping on the Palin bridge to nowhere. (This is still my favorite column as it got the whole Amateur Politico thing going!)

Amy always hits the mark – she is in tune with the political atmosphere in our country/community in a way that puts sense into the crazy atmosphere we are bombarded with on a daily basis through the media and our political leaders. Her writing is witty and clear and she gets through to me and challenges me to look at issues in a deeper, broader way. I have been so impressed with her courage to write about subjects in an honest way. As a young mother with with home, children, husband, and a career to balance, she touches on personal issues in a tender and insightful way. I LOVE these articles!
